When you get something new, do you like my hubby , read the instructions to the last letter, or like me turn it on and see how you get on.

Odd that Barbara, my OH reads the instructions cover to cover, whilst I on the other hand try and use things based on the logic of finding the on switch and other obvious clues to function and use. (And then never discover what the 'thing' is cabable of until I have to get the book out to 'fix' something else ;D)

After several mistakes and disasters from not reading them, I now read the instructions fully and follow them to the letter !

I do both...if it looks simple then I just get on with it but if it is something like furniture then I read the instructions first

I'd give it a go myself and then browse through the instructions afterwards.
