Dr Hilary - poor man - has no rhythm, shaking with nerves, can't skate, drop dead gorgeous - so he could WIN then

Juliet I wish I'd known it was on and have missed the whole thing. Dr. Hilary did well to get through without having to be in the skate off. I liked Jeremy but he was a bit like a bambi on the ice, FAB smile 'tho. ;D

Sorry LG, I should have said earlier - been a bit fraught this week & not much time for message boards. There's the winter olympics in February and then the world championships in March though, so plenty more skating to come!
I thought Hilary should have gone out really, but Jeremy going out was OK - he wasn't much better. Sharon was a lot better this week - whoever suggested sending her to a synchronised swimming coach to learn how to move her arms was inspired.

The costumes , or lack of them, is beginning to get on my nerves. I'm having trouble drumming up interest as it is.

Who is that horrible judge that told Sharon Davies and her partner they were like f----- matter swirling round the toilet when you flush it? Is he Dancing On Ice's Simon Cowell/Mr Nasty?

I really don't like the swimsuit or hotpant look it does nothing for anyone in my opinion. There is a huge difference between those who are really good and those who are obviously afraid of the ice and nervous. I thought some people looked really uncomfortable and really were'nt fun to watch at all.

That was a dreadful thing for Jason to say, he's a coriographer Jasmine and you're right he is often very rude.

It was so unnecessary but the audience didn't have any time for him - he could hardly get a word out round the booing.

I gather he was a bit unkind to Mrs Ramsay too. Not that I've seen it yet!!!

I keep thinking about what he said. I hope some folk complained....there will have been lots of children watching the show.

A friend has told me what he said, and I'm shocked. While I usually like the fact that he offers critisism in a slightly caustic manner, those comments to Sharon were totally unnecessary.

He had to apologise to her and the public...(I read that in the newspaper)

Good, Sharon was very composed when he said it - I would have burst into tears.

She was most likely too shocked to react, it was an appalling thing to say.

I googled his name and MRH is right - he did have to apologise to Sharon and the viewers. There were so many complaints. I was surprised at Phillip Scholfield adding on This Morning that it was too predictable for people to call for someone to be sacked but if I spoke to someone at work like that I would be in the hugest trouble.

What a tinker Jason is - he was still slightly rude to Sharon but she answered back which I dont think she should - to remain above it would be best He said she was LARGE - and Philip saved him by saying he means TALL Sharon - she is large all over really - huge arms and legs - looks awesome in a swimsuit - am not jealous

I do wish they'd give Sharon something other than a swimsuit to wear. I think I'm a bit of a traditionalist. Haley is miles ahead of the others I think and she was brilliant to carry on after her fall. ;D I really like Mikey but I think he's lost his mojo as they say, it's clear that all his pains are getting to him. Hopefully he'll be back on form next week.

Needless to say we haven't watched it yet but I can't wait to see what Jason has to say this time. I like his caustic comments, just as long as he isn't downright rude and nasty. I can't say I'll miss Heather though

I am pleased Heather has gone because she was scary to watch. Hayley is my favorite but shes got a lot of good compatition. I wonder who the mystery judge is for next week.

I agree with LG about the swimsuit outfit, can't they add a little floaty skirt to it to make it a bit more feminine? I think that Jason can be a bit OTT with his comments sometimes but he is right on mist occasions. I won't miss Heather either, and I know what you mean about scary to watch...he pointy nose would crinkle up one side all the time...

I agree about the swimsuit too, but Sharon's skating is at least getting better - she looked much more graceful last night, and I think that probably is harder if you're so tall (I'm sure Jason meant tall &/or long-limbed when he said large - no-one could exactly think she was overweight, could they?). I agree with MRH about Jason as well - his comments are usually very perceptive, if only he would be a bit more careful about how he expresses some of them. I wish the audience wouldn't boo him all the time, it makes it hard to hear what he's saying and often the skaters are straining to hear as well - I think most of them value his criticism because it shows them which things they need to improve. I thought Mikey was undermarked last night - I know he slipped a couple of times, but he was trying to do a much harder routine than most of the others, with lots of complicated steps and I think he should have been given more credit for getting most of them right. And I'm glad Heather went out because I was getting fed up with her being overmarked - I'm sure Nicky kept giving her an extra point just for being disabled and (as a disabled person myself) I find that patronising - she was supposed to be competing on the same level as everyone else, and she was just as good as several of the others and better than some of them. But not good enough to stay in much longer (though obviously Hilary should have gone out first ).
