What newspaper do you read, when and why? I ask because I used to be an Evening Standard reader when I lived in London, but it's not published anywhere else. We normally read The Times on Sunday but I've started to notice that it's SO superior and out of touch and I think it seems to think all it's readers are millionaires. So we had a go at The Telegraph last weekend. And I didn't think it was too bad - it seemed well balanced with interesting articles, and more "normal" than The Times. I'd be interested in your opinions - thank you

I don't read newspapers at all, except when I am on holiday, when I occasionally read the Daily Telegraph. Good crossword as well

I read what anyone else in the office buys ;D
Generally, I don't read a daily on a regular basis, apart from the East Anglian Daily Times which my MIL & FIL get. My parents get the Mail but I don't like it so I only ever look at the sports bit.
I kinda think newspapers are on the way out to be honest. Why buy something telling you yesterday's news when you can get on the web and find out what's happening now, usually for free.

The only paper we buy is the Saturday Telegraph as I like the magazine and the Gardening Section. OH reads what anyone leaves on the train and he sometimes brings home The Metro and The Evening Standard - basically anything that is free. ;D

Daily Mail and Daily Express Mon/Sat and The Mail on Sunday.
I like the Mail especially as it seems to be on my wavelength (or vice versa) but there is enough difference in the Express to justify having them both. The MoS as a package is not as good as it used to be as the supplements seem to be full of adverts and celebrity news (yawn) these days but there is still enough good reading in the main paper to make up for the supplements.
If I had to change one or both papers then the Telegraph would be a likely alternative.

Agree with F-A
Used to read The Mail but so many dreadful full page and double page spreads of animal cruelty I stopped buying it
Used to buy The Times on a Sunday but stopped so will try the Telegraph Plocket
I cant be doing with ALL THOSE SUPPLEMENTS tho - I never read them
You get more News on the TV and on your Home page of the internet

I look at the Metro if there's one around on the bus in the morning, but haven't bought a paper for ages, they all seem to be full of opinions rather than news. I read the Telegraph on line quite often. OH reads The Telegraph, Times & Guardian on line.

I haven't bought a paper for years. We used to get the Evening Echo when I lived in Essex, but I dont bother now Im in Yorkshire! We do get a local free paper - cant even tell you what its called!I use it to light the fire with - thats about all its any good for The lorry drivers at work seem to favour The Sun and The daily Star/Sport- whatever it is its all tits and teeth - speaks volumes dont it ;D What a load of cr*p
