They have dug up the school yard opposite where I live and are turning it over to gardens, I'll keep you posted on it's progress.

I wondered if that was a school when you've got it in photos before Barbara. What a great red brick traditional looking building. Good for them for making some green space too - playtimes have come on a long way!

If they plant flowers and shrubs it will enhance your view Barbara, if they plant veggies maybe they will have some spare for good neighbours You could offer to help out with the designs ... x Tig

I can't wait to see what's going to happen, Yesterday a man was walking all around the place taking pictures, so I guess he's a garden designer.

Looks like they have been very busy there Barbara. Can't wait to see how it all turns out.
Only a thought, do you have an "aerial" photo setting on your camera? I use that on mine, if taking a photo through a window and that seems to help.
Look forward to seeing more pics as they progress.

A school where my kids went to (many moons ago) has a pond but 'elf & safety made them fill it in.. I wonder how your school got around that....is it a primary school or secondary school Barbara?

They will probably have to put a fence and lockable gate round it. A couple of my schools have ponds and that is what they have had to do.

It's a primary Missy, and, they have just built a new one at the bottom of the hill on the river Irk, and they have ponds connected to the river in the school grounds, and any run off from the roof overflows in to them, they are having lots of frogs and toads and fish in them according to the local news letters it's all very eco friendly.withsolar panels and such

Piles and piles of turf, gawd knows how long it's going to take to finish, but are the kids going to be allowed to play on those rolling hills.
