Yorkshireman takes his cat to the vet. Yorkshireman says "Aye up lad, I need to talk to thee about me cat". Vet says "Is it a tom" ............... "Nay lad" says the Yorkshireman, "I've browt it wi' us"!!!!

Have only just realised that the majority of the cast in Emmerdale are Yorkshire speaking - in fact I can just hear Zack Dingle saying many E Bah Gums ;D

As to accents, a lot of the old folk around here pronounce 'home' as 'wom', and my geordie father would say 'garn yem' for 'going home'. Might be a problem for farmers boy!
