......FAT Andy !
One of the reasons I've not been posting on here quite so much of late is that I've instigated a fitness regime.
I'm fed up with being a lard-arse so I've been spending less time in front of the telly and PC and have started running a couple of miles 2 - 3 times a week, doing press ups & sit ups and some weight training.
I've also changed my eating habits somewhat, although I'm not on a diet as such, just eating more good stuff and a lot less crap !
I weigh myself twice a week (Mondays & Thursdays) and this morning I reached my first target - I've lost ½ a stone. It's fair to say I'm dead chuffed !!!
Just another 1½ stone to go.....!!

Well thank you all for your nice comments. Had another weigh-in this morning. I'm now down 9lbs from when I started, still enjoying the exercise and still not eating the rubbish I used to eat. Maybe I'll have to change my name to F(L)AT Andy if this keeps up ;D FA x

Still running folks. Can't believe I'm still keeping it going to be honest. I've done this so many times before and then given it up within a fortnight Had a minor setback a week or two back - I popped a rib out of place and was unable to run for a couple of weeks. However, I am now back on track, so to speak. In total I've lost 10lbs so far but I did put a couple back on when I couldn't run so I'd lost 9, then it went back to 7 and now it's up to 10. Another 11lbs to go to reach my next target weight, which I'm hoping to have done by the time I go on holiday in early June. I'm running again in a little while. I now do 4 miles, 3 times a week. Considering I couldn't run half a mile without feeling like I needed oxygen, I'm quite pleased with progress. FA x

Brilliant news Andy - you'll enjoy your holiday all the more for knowing that you look like a Beach Hunk Beach Hut more like ;D or beached whale maybe ;D But yes, I do feel better having lost some weight and I feel fitter and happier than I have done in a long time. I'm going to add cycling to my exercise regime too. I've got a bike but haven't used it a lot. I can't run everyday because it puts too much strain on my knees but I'm going to cycle on my "off" days. FA x

Another week, another weigh-in !
When I weighed myself this morning, I'd lost 13lbs over all. 8lbs to go to reach my target of losing 1½ stone before my holiday.
I managed a 4½ mile run last night too. First time I've managed that distance.

No Jen, not too far. I was *ahem* 16½ stone before I started this which is way too heavy for my size. If I can get down to 14 - 14½ stone, that'll be much more acceptable. FA x
