My mum has asked me to look up the lyrics of a song she used to sing at school but unsually I can't find any reference to it anywhere. The first line is "Weave We The Bridal Garland" which may or may not also be the title, and mum would have sung it around 1945-46. If anyone could help out with the lyrics it would be much appreciated. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif

Is this anything to do with it Spru? Sew fDustc tinues, with 'Weave we the bridal garland,' from. Handel's 'Tolomeo,' a smooth, quietly happy song lying low enough (it goes only up to E) to be easy ... www.jstor.org/stable/918304I just copied and pasted the whole thing

Thanks Jasmine. I did look at that link but dismissed it as the words bridal, weave and garland don't appear on that page at all. Unfortunately Mr Handel appears to have written his Tolomeo in Italian which was very thoughtless of him so I am none the wiser at the moment. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/wink.gif
