We had a lovely day at Trentham and it didn't rain! LP followed clues to get a code, and having got that she was given sweets. We admired the Italian gardens although there wasn't much in flower! Mooched around the display gardens. Had tea/coffee. LP romped around the adventure playground. Did the maze. Meandered some more. Had lunch. Walked round the lake. And came home for more tea/coffee! It was a great day out and I'm seriously considering buying an annual pass now. I hope you all had a lovely long weekend

Nope I avoid the Monkey Forest at all costs - not my thing at all! We did see one in the enclosure as we walked around the lake though. Funnily enough I'm off to Trentham again on Thursday, but this time to the garden centre.

Monkeys should not be visited when you have small children around, as monkeys have a knack for doing rude things just as kids turn up. ;D
I'm glad you had a good time P.
we didn't go out at the weekend , just sat and ate chocolate.

I just don't really like monkeys, and they aren't even native to our country!!!
I enjoyed Trentham so much that I'm considering buying a family season ticket so I can persuade OH to go more often. He'll want to get his money's worth if we have a season ticket! ;D

Ah but orang-utans aren't monkeys - I LOVE orang-utans!! I had an encounter with one a few years ago and it totally changed my opinion of them.
I'm not sure when I'm going back but I think a family ticket for us is about £85. I think it was £18 for the three of us to get in the other day so it won't take many visits to have spent that money.
FB I think it stems from when I was little. We went to a safari park in Spain and they started to take the car to pieces! I'm not scared of them though - I just don't like them!!! ;D

It wasn't x-rated and it wasn't on the news, but it drew lots of other visitors to watch!!! We'd gone to see the orangs at Chester Zoo and their enclosures are very high with glass windows for visitors to look through. I was leaning with my hands on the glass and one orang spotted a plaster on my finger. She came over to the glass and stroked where my finger was. I hauled LP over to see what was going on and the female orang then showed off her little baby to me. Later when I spoke to someone at CZ about it they said that the orangs often have plasters if they hurt themselves so the female would have understood that I'd had a "hurt!" It was such a special moment and orangs have SO gone up in my estimation
