Are you married a long time then Geranium?

Very frugal Geranium You can buy boxes at the card shop warehouse for disguising presents, and they make awkward stuff easier to wrap as well. I have wrapped all the presents I've bought but I still have some more stocking fillers to get, so, I'm getting the first tram to Manchester in the morning and I hope not everyone else has the same idea.

I got the OH a dressing gown, he got to open it last week because the cats had already started it for him. Besides, he'd already given me one of my presents (my engagement ring) so it's only fair he gets to open one.
Only problem is, it's a little small for him... I ordered the correct chest size, but it's still a bit small. Well, it fits, just not as roomy as my old one he's been wearing.

I love the Trafford Centre. Practically lived there when I first moved over to Bradford. I didn't know that area very well so just kept coming "home" to the Manchester side of things.

The big 'Malls' are very useful at times, aren't they, especially when you know your way round. High Streets are fine if you have time to walk from one end to the other.

If the weather is bad then shopping centres are great. It's good to be able to park the car without worrying too.

That's true - if we go to Taunton, our nearest 'big' town, with M&S etc, parking is a nightmare at this time of year, and OH is NOT patient about waiting for a space!

I'm not 'patient' about waiting for a space either, so I sympathise with him! Must have made the right choice Geranium if it lasted 45 years (am I talking about the dressing gown or your OH? ;D) Good luck on the tram tomorrow Barbara .... I've done! I don't like the big 'malls' they are so 'samey', and often too crowded for me Santa has just gone past our house ... in a sleigh pulled by a four x four (not reindeers ) x Tig

Yes, I suppose so - 45 years next April. It doesn't feel that long, though! 45 years is a long time Geranium well done. Thank you. It doesn't feel that long!

I debated clearing the path of all the snow I have but decided not to. To be honest, it's -6 and the wet ground would still be like a bottle, at least I can get a bit of a grip on the snow. Anyhow my back is really sore so I did'nt want to risk making it worse.

Me too Barbara - there isnt any atmosphere at the Trafford Centre whereas in the City you have all the little shops I just love Deansgate Do you find Barbara that Kendal Milne is now ruined - they went all black and chrome a while ago - with loud music droning out any conversation It used to have a faded elegance - used to spend hours in there Christmas Shopping i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif

I agree Jenny it's somehow ''tacky'' whereas before it was more like an old Aunt. now it's like a teenager.
