Have another look in the first place where it should be, Tig - that's where things miraculously re-appear in this house!

He ain't getting owt, I'll buy a new shed in the spring Louisa go buy yourself something you 'want' and give him the bill, say you thought it would save him the bother ;D x Tig

There I was congratulating myself on finishing my Christmas shopping, and even more so today when the final online order arrived, until that is I opened it. They've only gone and sent the wrong size haven't they even though the accompanying document is correct. The culprits will remain anonymous for now as they have been very apologetic and obliging and have - or so they say - pulled out all of the stops to rush a replacement into tonight's post. So it's down to Royal Mail now, but I must say that I have been very impressed with their efforts this year. I even had two parcels delivered on Sunday! i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/wink.gif

Hope you get your parcel in time Spru. Will you tell us later who the company is?
We've had fun and games here trying to get ipod thingummys for the boys. Can't order for store delivery if you have a UK address on your card and a US address. You can order by phone but you are still an International order because of your card even if you are 10 miles from the pick up store. On paper OH looks like Super Dad!

I wish Royal Mail would get their finger out down here Spru....no Sunday collections or deliveries and taking 7 or 8 days to deliver cards They can't blame the weather - it's dry and +7c. I think they have been taking on fewer Xmas staff and just expecting the poor regular posties ( who are great) to absorb all the extra seasonal work.......Not a good way to treat employees or customers

I expect lots of your cards are stuck in 'snowed in' depots oop north Auricula! On the news tonight it said Royal Mail had to fork out an extra £20 million to get the backlog shifted.... well they should get their act together ... the poor postie here has had to walk his rounds - why don't they get dropped off and picked up again on smaller rounds? They would be able to deliver more and not get so worn out??

Me too.....I have a small piggy bank full, which wasn't needed for our bit of Trevarno Garden ( bid still awaiting vetting procedure) and I think we'd be just what RM needs ;D

Like the snow mine are arriving in drifts, get about ten on one day then nothing for the rest of the week. Quite a few from 'family' have not arrived, perhaps they've crossed me orf their lists, better not send me an email or I shall be miffed (little whippersnappers!!)
I'm doing my baking shortly, think I will put ground almonds in the pastry

I went to my local D.O. yesterday to collect my mail and my postie was just getting ready to come out. We've had a lot of snow here, and after the amount of people off sick due to broken bones etc increased sharply recently, they're not taking any chances.
There are people on the Money Saving Expert forum basically saying that if they can go out walking in the snow, why can't the postman. FFS, get a life!! Basically saying that their post is more important than their postie's health and safety. I'd like to see them trying to deliver all the Christmas mail in this weather. They wouldn't last one street!
