I've made another two dozen mince pies, 6 mini apple pies and a dozen almond bites. There should be plenty to go around for those who visit tomorrow Not long now it and it'll be all over for another year ;D x Tig

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope everyone has a wonderful time today with family and friends. Auricula I'm delighted to hear your Son arrived safe and well. So many folks have'nt been able to get home this year. Believe it or not Jenny's girls are still asleep. I've been up since the creak of dawn. ;D

We sent a Christmas bouquet to son's fiancee - she didn't get it, so we'll have to have a rant on the phone.

Glad you got the books LG - the girls will be thrilled - there's nothing like an extra prezzie! Hope you get the flowers sorted Geranium - that's rotten service as it leaves someone feeling like they've been forgotten

That's really bad Geranium. Hope you give them a good telling off. Did they even ring to apologise?

No - we checked the credit card statement and they'd taken the money, but they closed early today, and I bet they won't be open until next Tuesday now. I think they should send flowers AND refund our money - or at least make some sort of gesture!

I agree Geranium, it really isn't good enough, and in times where businesses are struggling financially you'd think they would be extra careful not to lose trade,.

It's a reputable company and we've used them before. I'm really annoyed. Jersey, anyone?

I got very sad flowers from them once Geranium from a friend. When I phoned to complain they said the complaint had to come from my friend. I couldn't tell her how bad they were so that was that. Appalling really as I would never use them after that.

Well - we'll see what happens when we complain! I'm deeply unimpressed at the moment.

I thought it was very depressing in the GC the other day when I went in to have a browse Empty shelves and lots of discarded Christmas stuff on the floor nobody wanted

My local GC was full to bursting with reduced Christmas stuff with seed potatoes and other useful gardening stuff in one small space

It was the same at B&Q when I was there last week, baubles everywhere for next to nothing. This is the 1st year I've not been to any of the sales. I just could'nt be bothered this year.
