I quite like picking up a few bits and bobs for next Christmas but I haven't this year. Got side tracked in the GC yesterday as I met a friend and we had coffee instead of trawling through the reduced stuff.

Yes, they are! ;D Talking of cake - I noticed littlest twin's piano teacher still had her Christmas cake on the side in the kitchen. I wonder how long some Christmas cakes linger. My Mum made one every year and it went on forever ;D

They do keep for a long time don't they. It's all that alcohol in them. ;D

That'll be it. Just odd to see snowy icing and Christmas decorations as the months go on. If the cake lasts long enough it should meet the decs and cards coming into the shops in August ;D

We've always eaten 2 Xmas cakes ( 24cms or 9") before January 6th

That is quite small (only a handspan across) and I could see how you could manage 2 that size in that time ;D

I went into Wilkos yesterday and brought a few reduced decs and then I popped into the card shop to get a birthday card and brought 10 rolls of Christmas wrapping paper for £1 and I got tags to match too...will be sharing these with my daughter as there is no way I will get thru that lot especially as I had already brought some just after Christmas in the sales..

What are you 2 like? Trouble is - when the boys were little their prezzies took up more paper...you don't need much for an ipod ...so I ought to be buying less
