Went shopping today to organise Christmas for next Friday (Oct 29th). We are celebrating early with friends we usually see every New Year but we won't be able to do it this year. It was so hard to find crackers . M&S had some but they were a ridiculous price. I could have had lots of 3 for 2 Christmas cards and so on. Anyway, found some in Trading 4 U.

Money Saving Expert or Money Supermarket (one of the two) said to hold off buying anything until the sales start before Xmas. From the examples they were giving, I assumed it was just about food.
They were talking about Mince Pies, Xmas Puds and Confectionery.
