Well i married my son off which was something i didnt expect this year. Lost over a stone in weight. Increased my excercise over the last few months. My aim in the last few months of 2010 is to still loose more weight. Buy a new HD tele and digital camera. And get better at line dancing if my knee holds up.

I haven't achieved the art of resisting the temptation to buy more plants than i actually have room for I still don't remember to water pots - and potted bedding plants are still dying at their usual swift rate And i still can't get to like edging the borders after mowing. On the up-side though, i have achieved the look i was aiming for in my front (cottage) garden and i can sit (smugly) on my bench there and admire my (very) hard work in creating the look i wanted And i have kept up with the mulching, something i was very bad at previously I've also been not-so-hot at speed-walking every single day .... it's been very erratic i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/sad.gif Snowowl, you'll love your new HD tv and have great fun with your new digital camera i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/tongue.gif

I had to think about this one and it made me wonder if I'd achieved anything special this year at all. Then I realised I've come a long way since this time last year when I was'nt sure I'd get back to work and I have although I've cut my hours. I've done so much more at the allotment than I thought I would and have been very well pleased with my produce. I've added a good bit more autumn colour to the garden and next year will add even more. I intend to have a lot more colour in general next year, not play safe as I usually do

My NY resolution was to not be taken for granted. I think I sort of kept it. Had some faltering times but other than that, I think I've done very well.
Met my other half, am very much in love and extremely happy. ;D

That's lovely AL, everyone deserves some happiness in their lives I don't make resolutions, but I do have a chat with myself from time to time (well you all know I'm a bit doolalley ) about my lifestyle and suchlike. Taking more control and personal freedoms have been on my agenda for a while, and I think I have accomplished some of that this year. We no longer make scheduled visits to friends and relatives (we used to see quite a few people on a 'regular' basis) nowadays we just ring when we feel like it and go if they are at home. I don't have a guilt complex about not making an effort to keep in touch with people (if they haven't bothered to keep in touch with me!) I'm not having my hair cut short just because people expect women of a 'certain age' to have shorter hair. I will wear what I want regardless, if I'm happy wearing it. As long as I can walk in them I will still buy heels I don't do 'diets', but I can enjoy eating what I grow (even if that is lettuce . Be happy in your own skin, and do what makes you feel happy - no problem with anyone else wanting to lose weight or exercise more, just as long as it makes you feel better. I'm not dusting until I can write my name in it, life is too short! As for tidying up, if I can find what I'm looking for, what's the problem with clutter? Ironing is a waste of time, clean clothes are more important, then they only get creased again. I have made good progress with planting more perennials and moving (or removing) plants in the wrong place or not performing. Also adding more height to the garden through arches and obelisks. Now, let me think, what haven't I achieved Hahaha - that list is tooo long! Snowy can I come line dancing with you? x Tig

Well my main resolution was a combination of "take more exercise and lose some weight" both of which I've done this year. I'm cycling around 60 - 80 miles a week and at last weigh-in, I'd lost 20lbs.
I had plenty of others I haven't achieved but that is a lot down to circumstances, with my father-in-law being diagnosed with a serious illness and the running around & sorting out we've had to do for him.
