We didn't have a TV back then....  The first time I saw a TV was for the Coronation! ;D ;D That was at a neighbour's house. |

We had a tv from when I was a year old.We got it in 1949, it had a 9inch screen and came in a tall cabinet ( well it seemed tall to me, but it would if I was a year old ;D ;D )Prudence Kitten, Muffin the Mule ( not as rude as it sounds ;D) Andy Pandy.........all with visible strings and upper class ladies with strangulated vowels ;D ;D

I remember Mr Pastry from my childhood and he was no drag artist, more slapstick, I think. My fave TV programme of the time was Noggin the Nog. Anyone remember it?
As for housework, pay someone else to do it!
