Everyone has quirks especially when it comes to food....
I always dip bread into bacon fat - well, if I ever get it..
A salad sandwich has to have a dollop of mayo on it..
I prefer eating cake mixture raw than cooked..
Toast has to be warm...
No mayo on chips...ever...
I do not want my chicken, pork or lamb rare....I want it cooked....
Please don't give me bloody liver...
I do not want al dente spaghetti or rice and if I want "crunchy" vegetables I will eat them raw...no matter how healthy they are supposed to be...
I do not want Whole grain pasta or rice - it gives me stomach ache..
I don't want to know how unhealthy things are, E- numbers don't interest me....there have always been worms in fish, salmonella/dioxin in eggs etc....
I don't like chocolate and it doesn't make me "happy", just fat...
So - what are some of your food quirks then??

Toast has to be just out of the toaster and only just slightly brown...hardly off being bread really I guess. Mayo with chips. It's got to be real butter.

Yep its real butter for me also but when it comes to cooking veggies thats where I have a problem with the family, myself, daughter and No1 son like them with a bit of crunch while OH and FIL like them soggy cause thats the way MIL always cooked everything. Its Steak tonight so 1 will be Rare to Medium, 1 Medium and 2 cremated and I will have Belly Pork with a Honey topping roasted in the oven. Tea in a China cup is a must. Toast piping hot from the toaster.

Sausages must be almost burnt, bacon crispy, and fried, poached or scrambled eggs must not be snotty!!
Tea can be served in either a cup or a mug just so long as it isnt milky.

Toast must be thick - and almost burnt, Bacon must be crisp Fried onions have to be black (!) Sausages almost the same, Allergic to coconut, so I can smell it a mile off in anything! Can't bear perfumed tea! Coffee is ground, drunk from a bone-china mug Prefer lots of fruit to veggies. Prefer meat to fish Won't touch any shellfish Milk chocolate, not dark. Am I fussy? Very probably.

Hate wishy washy cheese, preferred is Colliers Extra Strong Cheddar Heinz tomato soup, no other can match it Hate 'bloody' meat, always well cooked. Love shellfish, especially scampi & scallops. Hate to find any bones in my fish Chip butties, no sauces just plenty of lurpak, always butter, hate substitutes We have a trend on the crispy bacon & burnt sossidges ;D also like my toast burnt, with lots of cold lurpak Tea black, in a proper cup & saucer. Do like herbal teas but in a mug. Hovis wholemeal or wholewheat bread (don't like other 'makes') Eggs must be 'dippy' but not sloppy. Prefer crisps to chocklit, but do prefer dark chocklit to milk (especially rum & raisin) Like 'hard' ice cream rather than the sloppy swirly stuff that you get from vans and some parlours. Cornet with a flake in is bestest, and a bit of raspberry sauce swirled on top. Vegetables should be eaten raw only when cold. Don't like crunchy cooked vegetables, but don't want them mushy either. And I like marmite OH isn't fussy at all, he just eats/drinks whatever is put in front of him, or whatever he can raid from the fridge or pantry. x Tig

My bread HAS to be Warburtons wholemeal,( I can't eat butter I'm allergic. ) don't like burnt sausages. tomato ketchup on chips. love cake of any kind. Can't stand shell fish, or salmon. like cod, and hake. meat HAS to be well done, I'm not a ruddy vampire. can't stand black pudding bacon well done. salad has to have mayo, potato salad has salad cream, and mustard,. toast mid brown. baked spuds from the oven, not the micro. tea and coffee in a china mug, but no milk or sugar thanks. garlic bread is a weakness. hard strong cheese, Cheddar. cornish ice cream, preferably, Kellys. I love greens, espescially sprouts, but savoy cabbage will do. can't abide mushrooms. peppers give me the most awful stomach ache. lamb and beef roasts on a Sunday make my day. (easily pleased me you know) And home made marmalade and jam I just love them.

I love Marmite as well - always get someone to send me some from the UK.
I hate shellfish of any description although I have tried everything that I say that I don't like...
I have eaten frogs legs, snake, ostrich, shark, venison, wild boar/sow/piglet and possibly a lot of things that I have forgotten...
Although it took me around 10 years to eat the raw smoked schinken (bacon) here , I rather like it now - I still haven't got used to the raw mince....tried it once and once was enough for me.
