Do you find that it spreads, Amber? I've had to uproot some that was 'walking' in the gravel.

Not so far Geranium......it is its first year.....and there is room for it to spread out

Well - be warned. It does! I have some on the stream bank where it's allowed to spread at will, but the bed in the side garden will have to be completely cleared out after my open days. I think I'll just get rid of the lot (and the vinca!) and start again there.
It has covered an area about 3 metres by 2m and is still walking along the gravel path. That's in about 4 -5 years, with some heaving out in between.

Here are some of my Dahlias, now planted in the garden. Dahlia 'Fabula' Dahlia 'Rebecca's World'. This one should have varying degrees of raspberry red and white on each flower. Should be interesting! Dahlia 'David Howard' - it has dark foliage. Dahlia 'Famoso'.

Love your dahlias, Geranium. Dahlias have always been one of my favourite glowers, and I couldn't see me going through a season without a few of them around the garden. You guys are ahead of us of course. I have zero success in overwintering my bulbs from one season to another though, so I always have to get new ones each year. I just planted out my first bulbs yesterday, so I won't be seeing any blooms for some time yet.

Lovely Dahlias, I particularly like the look of Roxy, has she got dark foliage too . Here's some of my latest just coming into flower. Mrs Kendal Clarke. Geranium Psilostemon Allium Christofii Verbascum Southern Charm (the pic is the right way up, there was an incident involving a high wind & an unsteady Acer), don't ask i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/grin.gif Jillyx

Nice composition shot of Christophii Jilly I'm soooo looking forward to seeing flowers on my Mrs Kendal Clarke babies, they are still quite small though. First flowers opened today on one of the splish splash, not a lot of splash on this one ;D and after the excitement of waiting for the pyrethrums grown from seed to flower and see what colour they were ... they are all pink! That is a lovely rose Geranium. I am most definitely going to look around here to see if it's available in these parts. I will probably need to get a couple new roses anyway because 3 of the ones that I have seem to have been done in by this past winter; no sign of any new growth on them yet. I'm thinking I'll give them another 2 weeks or so before I do anything.

And you seem to have some very interesting plants. I have never seen that allium roseum, cream lupins, or byzantine gladioli before. They are neat. I'll be looking around here to see if they show up in any of the GCs..

That's a tall one, Amber! I like your curly plant support - what is it supporting? Here's a dwarf Veronica whichI really like. Veronica 'Trehane'. and a little evergreen shrub - Prostanthera cuneata. The first flower on a large-flowered Geranium - 'Dragon Heart'
