Well....it happened folks!!....I'm still in a whirl with the experience of shaking hands and chatting to Her Majesty and Prince Philip......I'm still pinching myself to believe that it really happened......It was a wonderful day and after a bit of a dodgy start, weatherwise........it was fine and reasonably warm....no wind to speak of.......This pic is of HM unveiling the placque with The Duchess of Northumberland....Alan Shearer, and Prince Philip looking on...(His hand was very cold when I shook it  .....It was a wonderful experience and my brain is still in a bit of a whirl  ....I won't forget this day in a hurry   |

The Queen asked what I did in the garden....and seemed amused when I said I got soil under my fingernails... i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/shocked.gif ...and said how lovely it was to have such a large garden here;...I said it was wonderful that Her Grace (the Duchess of Northumberland) had the vision to make such a garden for all to enjoy. The Prince seemed surprised that we (the volunteers) did so much in the garden........I still can't believed it all happened  ....think I must go and lie in a darkened room to recover....lol ;D ;D |
