I have to confess here to being the most un cat type person but those 2 are just sooo cute! They look like they have blue eyes too - what poppets! Lucky little kittens! After thought: whenever I type the name Poppy it comes out as Poopy - I have to be very careful when I'm writing reports! i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/cheesy.gif

Our 2 new "babies". They are 7 week old sisters called Poppy ( mainly white) and Penny. They are causing chaos chez Auricula, but are at that really funny stage where they keep overestimating their prowess, at climbing and jumping You must be suffering from empty nest syndrome Auricula. Or maybe you are missing all your little schoolkids! They are cute little kittens. My excuse for no cats is my OH is allergic to fur. I was tempted to get a little dog though, as whilst we were away every house we went to seems to have one or two small dogs. Good luck with all the housetraining! i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/wink.gif Now when will you be able to go on any of your epic expeditions?

Ooh thank you all I'd like a dog one day ( when I'm old) but not until we stop going away so regularly. When we go away PJ we have a friend ( an animal mad German lady) who comes round twice a day to feed them, sort out their needs and play with them - it worked well with Posh and Becks so we're hoping P and P will be as contented, they have already met Inga and will be very used to her before March It is "empty nesting" in a way ( although the boys are long gone) as I love to be needed they are so adorable that I spend far too much time cuddling and playing with them They do have blue/grey eyes Jasmine......and very pink noses LG ;D

Bet you buy them lots of cat toys - my GF's house is Cat Heaven - beds and baskets everywhere - cat scratching poles in every room So they sleep in the waste paper basket and scratch the leather sofa

Kittens always look very mischievous in photos, like they are wondering what is that 'thing' being pointed at them, and should they pounce on it, could be going to gobble them up What little cuties they are. My hairdresser asked if like to home two kittens this week, the answer was a resounding 'NO'!! I've got enough expense with the one that adopted us all those years ago Jas, you made me laugh, I could just see some doting parents face as they read your report on their darling Poopy ;D x Tig

That sounds like they're well on their way to being trained Auricula. Fingers crossed. Rotten night last night, I've been on the go since around 4am. You know what it's like. Thanks for the hugs.

Thanks girls, they're very sweet They came from an advert in the local paper. OH was adamant that we were only having one but I had other ideas

That's what I think LG. We had 2 boy cats and they didn't get on......then we had a boy and a girl and Becks bullied Posh, so OH said "only one" but i decided that 2 girls wouldn't fight..... I just hope I am proved right or I'll be in trouble ;D

Erm... I've had male and female who got on together like soul mates even though they weren't from the same litter (Shadda and Schmickles) and I've had 2 girls who don't really get on, they sort of tolerate each others presence (Toffee and Pudding). Pudding is now being harassed by Hermione and puts up with it to an extent. I do think she sort of enjoys the playful times. Not so keen on being jumped on while she's asleep

I had a female and a male several years ago and they tolerated each other but that was the height of it.

Awwwww, they are just adorable, so tiny and vulnerable, have you got any more photos of them, how much have they grown in this short time ? I love black cats so little Penny wins my heart (reminds me of my Millie) , i also have a mostly white cat, with bits of black too Little Poppy has the exact same head markings as my Maddie
