**SCAM ALERT** I recently received a bogus PayPal email suggesting that my account had been locked due to too many log-in attempts. The email included a zipped attachment and no doubt the scammers expected me to dutifully fill in my details and send it back to them. Well, as I wasn't born yesterday I simply deleted it and then logged into my PayPal account which which was perfectly secure and unadulterated. Yesterday I had a similar experience with another email, this time purportedly an order update from "AMAZON.CO.UK", but with zipped attachments said to contain invoice and order details. Two further Amazon-like emails have arrived today in the same format. Well, hard luck scammers, I don't have any outstanding Amazon orders (it is after all only 3rd December LOL) and in any case genuine Amazon emails do not have attachments. I have reported the latest two emails to ActionFraud www.actionfraud.police.uk/ the UK Police online fraud service, but unfortunately was unable to forward the dodgy messages to them as they were rejected by the Police server as potentially containing spam or a virus. I rest my case M'lud! So just be VERY CAREFUL about what emails you open and if it has an attachment and you are not absolutely sure it is safe, just delete it. You can always log-in to your Amazon account to get order updates if you have items outstanding.

There seems to be a spate of these doing the rounds atm Spruance, I'm getting loads through at work, luckily they seem to be identifiable by having zip file attachments, which I would never open unless I was expecting one.

Thanks for the warning, Spruance. I always delete any suspect emails. I can't imagine why these scammers do it, unless they want to get into people's bank account details?
