I didn't get round to voting & I really thought they all deserved to win, but if I'd have been forced to choose I'd have gone with you Missy, just for that lift in the show dance

I think nerves got to Danni and I felt sorry for her and Vincent. I think it was fair enough that they were voted out first but I think they had a good journey. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/cool.gif I did'nt like Denise and James Showdance at all, hardly any dancing in it and what there was looked stilted and badly timed, a lot of it looked like things they'd done before although I rewound it and could'nt say exactly why. Louis and Flavia were excellent and their Showdance was fantastic but over very quickly. It was original and well choreographed and I was delighted they won. Kimberly and Pasha did a good Showdance but it was all a bit manic. I thought Bruce did'nt seem on form at all and did'nt like the way he was shooing everyone away at the end, sounded quite abrupt when all Louis and Flavia did was stand there anyhow. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/rolleyes.gif

I was so impressed with the nerves of steel Denise had with the awesome lifts James gave her; one of them she was just hanging on his bent neck - so I voted
Sadly she didnt win
Poor Dani she did admit they are not used to lifts so they were new routines for her and it showed
Brucie has an ear piece in and has to obey instructions and sometimes they are running late, as it is a live show, so I dont think he means to be abrupt - so he has to move things along best way he can

and who did you vote for Jas? I must say that I voted for the first time tonight too....and he won I voted for Denise and James Missy - before Dani went out. I didn't vote in the second half. I think it was fair that Dani went out - the lifts they did all seemed like extra bits added on rather than a smooth flowing dance. That was one amazing lift that Louis did - Flavia had to put a lot of trust in him!

This is the Christmas SCD gossip... Strictly Come Dancing will be more festive than ever this Christmas day with a special line-up of six brand new celebrities taking to the dance floor. This year celebrities include football star Fabrice Muamba, actress Sheila Hancock, JLS’s Jonathan “JB” Gill, entertainer Bobby Ball, comedienne Katy Brand and TV presenter Helen Skelton. As well as the six new celebrities, this year will see The Strictly Allstars – nine contestants from previous series welcomed back, who will trip the light fantastic in a group routine of their own. Making up the Allstars, Rachel Stevens, Chelsee Healey, Natasha Kaplinsky, Kelly Brook, Chris Hollins, Tom Chambers and Colin Jackson will all return to the dancefloor to show that they’ve still got what it takes, with a special guest appearance from favourites Ann Widdecombe and Russell Grant. To cap the line-up, Rod Stewart will be bringing some festive cheer as he stops in to perform Let It Snow. So we've got Widdy to look forward too! Ah well, it's Christmas!

I was pleased Louis won, he was the most improved out of the three finalists. Denise was good to start with, Kimberley seemed to get into it after she was in the dance off, but Louis didn't really come out of his shell until the Halloween do. I don't think Flavia expected to win, she was overcome with emotion when their names were announced - must have been wearing waterproof eye make-up Vincent couldn't wait to congratulate her at the end, it was quite touching I thought Brucie was very professional at the end, just trying to make sure that the event didn't turn into a shambles before they had told viewers what needed to be said, there had been a lot of high spirits from the participants throughout the night, he probably needed to be firm with them 6:15pm Christmas Day then for the next SCD 'fix' ;D x Tig

Yes she was LG, it'll be good to see some of the people from previous shows back too. Good that it's on quite early Christmas day, should be able to watch it with Mum before we leave to come home. As long as OH doesn't forget where he is & shout a Bruce all the time like he usually does, Mum might learn a few new words i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/grin.gif

What a lovely gentlemanly person Fabrice Muamba is. I was sort of hoping he'd win. It was a fun show though. Even Craig smiled a lot!

It was an enjoyable show. They all seemed very relaxed and the celebs were very good for only training a week. Sheila Hancock was so elegant with Ian Waite.

I was wondering what you'd thought of it Missy. We've missed you on this thread. Do you know this thread got to 30 pages long last year! ;D I don't think I could have coped with a whole series of Helen Skelton - much better that she just did a one off!

Post by Missredhead on Dec 27, 2012 14:38:17 GMT
Wow....30 pages...are you insinuating that I talk a lot? Moi? I think that Sheila H was very graceful ..I did think that they shouldnt really duplicate the dances though..one of each would have been enough...

I agree Missy, far more interesting and dances can be given out appropriately!
No, I'm not insinuating nuffink (would not like to be drawing attention to myself in the too much chat department!) - I am referring to the fact that we must have had some lengthy and purposeful discussions last year! ;D
