Just had a mail from one of my Garden catalogues here in Germany.. Has anyone got these or intends to grow them - I would love to know if they really do taste of pineapple and strawberry... I am still undecided whether I like the look of them...bit like white tomatoes... RF

I bought a pack early in the year, and they all died on me! Was looking forward to trying them too! Think they start off green Barbara, and go white and red when ripe x Tig

I've not tried them, but I am going to and have got a pot with a couple of plants in that I am going to put in for next year. The only thing I do know from reading the plant label is that to get them to fruit, they apparently need to be grown near red strawberries. There's an interesting article on Wikipedia about them en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pineberry if it helps.

I think it's because the birds don't like them because they don't go red...
