Andy's thread on famous people we've met or know got me thinking.
Who would you invite to dinner (dead or alive) if you could invite anyone you wanted?
I would invite Bill Bryson because he makes me laugh out loud, Anne Boleyn as I am fascinated by that period of history and like most of history there are too many unanswered questions and Carol Klein as she could keep the evening going with her infectious enthusiasm and hopefully wouldn't just bring petrol station flowers!

You could have 2 dinners Auricula - one for the eye candy and one for interesting discussion! Dawn French and Julian Clary would be really good fun Jen! I didn't think of a gardening themed dinner Geranium. I think I'd like to add Helen Yemm to my list - she won't have far to come! ;D FB, brains and beauty like you said!

I'd love a chat with Geoff Hamilton. I think he'd be delighted at how organic gardening has taken off and at how many people are growing their own veg. Maria Callas could provide some background music and maybe give us some gossip too.

I forgot Rosemary Verey! I'll add her to my list. Not Alan, I don't think he's up to the same standard, although I do enjoy watching him on TV. Having said that, he could learn from the others! I'd prefer Pavarotti for the music, please. He'd have to be outside in the garden, so we could hear ourselves speak! i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/grin.gif

I've got images of the new Go Compare advert Geranium where the opera singer gets blasted into the middle of next week! ;D Perhaps you could share Dicky B's advice with the rest of us Carol! ;D All these big wins on the lottery - I might have to join in myself! ;D
