Mickey is now staring down OH as he has not yet replaced the wood in our log pile thingummy. He, Mickey is still wandering around but seems to be fine. As long as he/she stays outside we let this cute bit of wildlife do as it pleases and so far next doors cat has not shown interest.

Your new shed looks like a great additon Dutchy, well done. Is the porch the one from the old shed or just the same design? Those are real misty Autum pics, no wonder little mickey likes his home.

LG the porch is the wood store and well spotted it is the old one. Jilly, me giving treats to mice? Never, although it is not my fault the birds don't eat all the crumbs. Mickey can move back in or under as the last bits of fire wood have been replaced. All is back to normal again ;D

That is a rather posh 'shed' Dutchy, maybe Mickey will move in if he can find any gaps to sneak through Have you started filling it up with 'stuff' yet? x Tig

Hardly recycling LG, it is still in too good a condition to do away with. Tig!!!! Ah but you are right of course, if there is but the smallest of gaps a mouse will climb through. And if I am to get the Christmas light up next month I will have to make a small hole for the wires to go in, Mickey might be a clever mouse and get it first time round Even though he is already frequenting the woodpile so he could indeed be building a home there. Last year we had a Mickey that build its home in the wall. We have these slits to let air circulation into the inner wall bit and from there there is no entry into the house. Maybe Mickey will go for that as he has been spotted hanging around the slit as well. We'll see. Thanks RF no the storms can come now, one has already been there and no harm done. So far so good. The shed is a design by a friend made for us in 2009. We did not get round to building it then but as you can see good plans are not binned. It is amazing the old one managed to hang on as long as it did. Repairing the door sure helped. North side of the house in an area where moisture is ever present the old shed was build in 1995 and I think 17 years is good value for what in essence was cheap sh... wood. This new one should at least do the same but hopefully more.

But thats the thing about recycling Dutchy, so many things can be used again as they're still good. It's not necessary to buy something new all the time.

So true that. As for Mickey... He was spotted today trying to armwrestle Robin for a bit of fat from the fatball that fell down. In the end they shared but if that was out of peacetalks or sheer coincidence ....... ;D
