Now this is when the tagging feature comes in very useful as this question is especially for Jasmine, who very kindly sent me a baby Phlox Blue Paradise last year. Well it came with a little friend . I separated them & the Phlox is doing well, after a couple of false started & so is the mystery plant. Now I could be carefully tending one of Jasmine's prize weeds, but it doesn't look like it. Any ideas. Jillyx

I think you could be right Jasmine, I grow Verbascum Southern Charm, just trying to remember what the babies look like without going out with a torch . Ta muchly anyway, I definitely don't think it's a weed.

Watch out for those huge and enormous munching verbascum caterpillars Jilly - 4 of those would make a decent bushtucker trial!

I've met them two years running. They really are a thorough nuisance; I picked them off every day, but if they come back this year I might resort to a spray which I don't like, really.
