What colour will you paint it when it's finished Barbara?

I'm thinking grey Auricula, I'm goint to study colour charts tomorrow, because I want the sills and end bricks in a contrast, so I need two shades of grey that I like.

This is a bl**dy nightmare, they have had to rebuild all around the bathroom window and up to the roof, and now they have taken the render off the bay, well you should see the state of the brickwork someone has ''repaired '' it all by just chucking mortar in to any gaps, there dont appear to be any whole bricks in there at all, we were told by the neighbours that the old guy who lived here before us was taken in by a bodger, they wern't kidding, thank god these two are genuine, they find a problem and take hubby up to look, he said it would be bad, he expected the gable end to need rebuiding, so as it doesn't he feels we are doing OK, I could no more climb up there than fly, so it's agood job they show him.

It's shocking what some people get away with. Sounds like your current lot are pretty good Barbara it's hard to know just how bad things are until you actually start working. Hopefully there won't be any more surprises.

Thanks Girls, it's a worry when you start a job like this isn't it, you never know where it's all going to end. On a good note, Hubby has started painting the back, it looks really good, and you only get 5% off at B&Q on Wednesdays not the 10 I thought, never mind, every little helps.

Thanks Jas and LG, he has worked hard, and in this heat, I went and loaded up the car with some of the bags of bricks and render that were on the front path, and we took them to the tip, the men will get finished tomorrow now, but, they have to come back when the scaffoling is gone because the kitchen window needs a new lintel, but the scaffold is in the way, I've made them a friut cake each, they said that was their favourite, and bought them a bottle of wine each, they really have been great, and the bill is not as big as I expected, so I can afford to buy some plants when they've all finished.
