Hi all knowledgeable people out here. I am going to the lake district this August and wonder where I can go when I want to see gardens.
Any tip is welcome, a good pub after all is also something one needs after a day of wandering around nature. And anything I can learn from or about the area is welcome.
Eagerly awaiting all your information...

I can definitely recommend Muncaster Castle, which is also home to the World Owl Trust - see link here www.muncaster.co.uk/welcome-muncaster-castle-and-gardens. Not sure where abouts in the Lakes you are heading for, but this pub is nice www.theswinsideinn.com/ and also The Dog and Gun in Keswick is nice.
