More of a things kids say this one ..... My eldest offspring text me last night to tell me that my granddaughter and her had been watching ice age 4 when one of the characters said "who says old ladies can't drive" Abigail turned to her mum and said "they can can't they cos nanna can drive !!!! Charming. Bethany thought it was highly amusing. Me .... Not so much :-( !

They are so so innocent and so straight forward in their thinking aren't they, love it My great nephew (soon to be 5yrs old) said the other day that I looked pretty just like his mummy when I had my hair in a pony tail, now she's only 25 and I can give her 30yrs so I was quite chuffed. The sting in the complement was that my arms were fatter and wobblier than his mums

3 Nursery children looking for mini-beasts in one of our raised beds - usually ends badly for the mini-beast once it is discovered. They find an ex-worm - probably had a previous experience with them.
Much discussion about why it isn't moving....
Finally one little girl says, 'It is very dead'.
Bet you didn't know there were degrees of dead-ness!

I saw that on FB Ladygardener, so funny, and sadly my memories of church from my boarding school days. I suppose no one had thought back then that the young ones were the church of tomorrow so it might be worth not boring them to death.

You know Jasmine, I'd like to think it has changed nowadays but about a year or so ago, I saw first hand that for one church or maybe it was a cathedral but it had'nt. At a carol service of all things, the lay preacher was talking (shouting at ) to the children as if they were worthless, and trying to herd them like they were cattle, he was so rude! O think it was the Guides service and there were plenty of people to help who know how to treat children thankfully.
