Just had a phone call from her friend to say that Jenny had passed away yesterday (Friday),i knew she had not been well for a few months,in March or April she cancelled a holiday that she had booked for Mrs FB and i to go with her to Rye,Sussex, although she sent me the odd message by phone, she never would tell me what was wrong with her except back and leg pains, she was a very private person,it seemed she had bone cancer
RIP Dear Jenny,i will miss you

Oh FB, I am so sorry to hear that. I thought perhaps she was busy in the real world and hadn't had time to be around. I hope she has friends who will look after her lovely little dog Will always remember her for the way she used to muck about in the Diggit with us, such a mischievous individual. It was easy to see how much she valued the friendship of you and Mrs FB from the photos you both posted. x Tig

What sad news but thanks for letting us know FB. I knew she had been/was poorly. She was always forwarding emails with animal jokes in them. She had a kind heart.

Such terribly sad news and such a shock. We've sadly lost a few GWD members over the last few years, it would be nice to think they are all together in a better place doing what they loved, gardening.

What awful news and such a shock. We e mailed occasionally but I hadn't heard from her for a couple of months and I was about to pm Farmer's Boy to see if she was feeling any better. She was very private and wouldn't have wanted us to fuss about her but I'm sure she'd be gratified to know how much she's missed and what happy memories we have of her. My thoughts are with FB and Mrs FB in particular this morning, you'll have some good memories of your times together and I know that she valued your friendship highly. I'll miss her sense of fun and will be in the Diggit this evening to raise a glass to Jenny. It'll be nice not to have to watch where we leave the money Bless her

OMG. farmersboy I remember her visiting the Netherlands and the two of us going to a modern dance place that she at first did not dare enter as it had a bit of a rough entrance. She was so pleased that she did go along and we had a lovely evening chatting. Our second meet was in Enkhuizen a small old town in the north west where she had landed during one of her many cycle tour holidays. We ate endive and she did not like it at all. The entire tour had to eat it as it was part of their arranged menu. I, as the only Dutch person joining in, was the only one who liked it. Jenny had such a laugh because of this. She always loved to tease and muck about. At times pushing the boundaries but such is as she was. It is good to know that she did not have to go the final leg alone and I hope that indeed she will rest in peace.

I've just found out about this sad, sad news I have such happy and funny memories of Jennywren ......... mostly involving the Diggit Inn and some of the virtual 'parties' that we had. My thoughts go out to her family and friends and hopefully she's gardening away happily with Biggles. Just to say that I've to register again as I'd forgotten my password etc etc. Love to all, Susie Snowdrop xx

This is very sad news and thank you Farmersboy for letting us all know.
Jenny was one of our original members and I know that she was just as passionate about GWD as she was about gardening in general. She will be very sadly missed by all who knew her.
RIP Jenny.

I have to say I was completely stunned when Plocket told me a couple of days ago. I had no idea she was even poorly.
Although I'm an infrequent visitor here these days, I do come in and lurk occasionally and usually had a pm or 2 with Jenny. Just looking at my PM's and the last one I had from her was in March, when she said she didn't post much on the boards these days because she didn't want to get bogged down with it all. No mention of illness at all. My last message back to her was "well, it's good to speak to you. Hope it's all good with you".
She was one of life's lovely people, we had some great laughs on here and the world is a poorer place for her passing. I hope that wherever she is, she is free from pain and surrounded by flowers of every colour and fragrance.
Rest in peace Jenny xx
