Just ordered 72 perennial plugs from T&M - to give them their due their little plugs, apart from being very, very little, always seem to do ok. They were £9.99 but I had a £5 off 'thank you for ordering from us in the past year' voucher so that knocked the P+P off and another 5p! The plants always do well on my school fair plant stall and of course, by then, no one knows what I ordered originally so it makes no difference what they turn out to be!

Hope they do well for you Jasmine, it's a great offer but I've already got my 72 from Van Meuwen and overall I'm pretty pleased with them. I've planted them all into trays or cells of some kind and they seem to be growing.

That's a lovely selection you've got there Jasmine. I would'nt be surprised if you kept some for yourself, you'll always find things for your school sale. I got a nice mix too, although there were a few empty spaces in the tray but Van Meuwen have given me a £5 voucher off my next order as compensation. A couple out of 72 is not bad going 'tho. The offer is'nt unlike yours, just a few changes. Aquilegia Mrs Scott Elliott Achillea Cassis Delphinium Magic Fountain Dianthus Artic Fire Echinacea Primadonna Foxglove Dalmatian Cream Coreopsis Early Sunrise Eryngium Blue Hobbit Lavender Hidcote Leucanthemum Crazy Daisy Penstem Tubular Bells Wine Red Geum Mrs Bradshaw

T&M are offering the 'rare and highly sort after magical blue sweet pea'... Lord Anson's Pea, Lathyrus nervosus I wonder how nervosus anyone who pays £8.99 for 5 plants should be!

T & M have struck again ... I bought some blue flowering primulas as plug plants early in 2013 (could even have been late 2012) - think I shared a piccie as the first one flowered yellow, then another flower pink & white ... I thought the last four would be blue for certain .... nope! So far two white, one maroon, and one still to open! Not a blue one in sight.. Jasmine did yours come true?

Only one of mine ever flowered Tig - it was blue with a very faint white marking round each of the petals. It's quite pretty - the others were only ever leaves.

If it's any consolation Tig, the cream doubles that have done so well for both of us, were from T&M (probably the best things I've ever had from them ). From what I remember they were meant to be a mix of colours but only came out in cream & lemon.

How can T&M be so rubbish? At some point last year I ordered rhubarb crowns for delivery this April. On April 30th I got a letter saying the stock had all failed and I would have to wait til November 2014 for the crowns but if I wasn't happy with this I could get in touch. I emailed to ask for my money to be refunded and got an automated response saying they were very busy dealing with complaints and it would take a 'few days' to answer my email...I'm still waiting.....lucky I wasn't holding my breath! I have complained on FB - that seems to get a very quick response!

What rubbish Jasmine, hopefully now that you've mentioned it on their site you'll get a result. I think it's absolutely rubbish that the only way to get a response from them is to turn to social media Ladygardener - but thank goodness for FB as within 24 hours of posting I have a refund cheque on its way - 7-10 working days though. It must be coming by pigeon! What system are they running where they can't refund to your card you used for payment. I once said they should give the option of paying by PayPal but they'd get so many refund demands through PayPal's efficient system.

I have had that issue a few times with T & M, not with rhubarb though ... Oddly enough I found a rhubarb crown buried under a 'new path' this week. It is very blanched but it should still grow. Will see if I can release it from it's subterranean prison and send it on to freedom

Obviously T&M still haven't got rid of their job lot Tig, as that looks remarkably similar to the (so called) Midnight (dark foliage with purple flowers) that Ladygardener & I ordered about 3 years ago. They're very, very pretty but as I now have the same thing self seeding all over the patio, not something I'd be prepared to pay money for. If it's any consolation, Mum & I ordered a double collection from Hayloft last year & even though her's are doing well, I'm not sure any of mine have come back this year.
