Anyone decide to take the plunge this year and grow a few impatiens.....just the "normal" ones.
Well i thought i'd give it a go and bought 2 packs of seed from Tesco. Grew them in the greenhouse then planted them in my dad's garden....and they've been absolutely superb.
Anyone else ?

Nope - I haven't dared to. I have two New Guinea Hybrids and I've used Begonias instead, otherwise. Not many places were selling the plants this year. I usually buy plugs and grow them on. Maybe I'll give them another try in 2014.

No,sorry, I stopped growing bedding plants a couple of years ago. I try to have only perennials as it's less work. I did grow a tray of cosmos this year but had nowhere for them to go, so they ended up on the compost heap

I've looked everywhere for a mention of the Busy Lizzie problem here in Germany and either no-one wants to talk about it or it doesn't exist because they can be bought everywhere...mine in the front pot were 10 for1.29E and they are lovely... I have done my own the last two years but realised that it was easier (and cheaper) to buy them!! RF
