It seems like Barbara Windsor has turned down the offer of being on this year's Strictly but these folk are possibilities...

Thanks for the link Tig and to Jasmine for starting the thread. I'll look forward to it as always. Shame Brucie is back with it 'tho, it would have been good to have a new presenter. It's a real shame that Vincent and Flavia are'nt back again but perhaps they feel it's time to go their own way. They were 2 of my favourites.

Thanks for that link Jasmine, it does'nt sound like it's going to be in direct competition with Strictly. I wonder which celebs they'll get to do the teaching and what celebs and their OH's. I most likely will watch it to give it a shot anyhow. I've watched her host Got To Dance and she does come across less hyper than she used to. Interesting.

So far they've confirmed Vanessa Feltz , Tony Jacklin, Abbey Clancy and Rachel Riley (her wot replaced Carol Vordermann on Countdown).

I see it's due to be shown on Saturday at 18.50. Here is what I've seen about it.

As a curtain-raiser to the new series, which starts at the end of the month, Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly host a red-carpet event in which this year's 15 celebrities are paired up with their professional partners, who include Strictly favourites Brendan Cole, Anton du Beke, James Jordan, Artem Chigvintsev, Ola Jordan and Kristina Rhianoff. Flavia Cacace is sadly not returning, although she is back for this special, performing the charleston with last year's partner and eventual winner Louis Smith, giving this year's line-up an insight into what's expected of them as they take to the floor for their first group number in front of the ever-critical Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel Horwood and Darcey Bussell. There's also music by chart stars Jessie J and Rod Stewart, performing their latest singles.

That was what was printed in the Sunday Paper LG, I don't know if it's right or not, guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The only 2 I've never heard of are the girl from Corrie and Ashley someone or other  he's from Hollyoakes apparently.

I think I'm going to reserve my judgement, as some of the ones I have heard of, I wish I hadn't .... can't stand that woman from Dragons Den, I have got a bit of a soft spot for the guy from Casualty though.
