Can anyone help, I have seen in the graveyard with a purple flower, is it wild? it seems to grow by ivy wildly? should I remove it, It is quite a nice plant but it could be a weed, I dont want it to kill or strangle anything, so thought I had best ask you all.

Could it be vinca wendya. If it is it needs to be planted somewhere where you don't mind it taking over or you'll have to keep cutting it back to keep it in place.

Yes that's it i have just looked it up, thank you, it is planted about 12 " away from 2 pyracanthas it would not strangle them would it, as they are only small? I do like this plant tbh and would be prepared to cut back as its in the dark corner that does not get much light.

We have it in a bit of a wild corner wendya and I keep it under control by cutting it back or pulling bits up. You will have to watch it round your little shrubs until they get a bit bigger.

It's a lovely plant the Vinca wendya, I've just bought one for my own garden. As Jasmine says, it's easy enough to keep in check.

Wendy pyracantha is quite a sturdy plant once it gets away I wouldn't worry that the vinca might overwhelm it, it can look after itself I think. The only thing I would advise though is give them plenty of space, and keep the pyracantha in check as it could take over if you don't trim it back.
