Just wondering if you start off vegetables in pots inside but you go with the phases of the moon theory, does it matter or is it just for planting in soil outside?

No I don't think it matters at all theinsidegardener, many things are started off in modules under glass. Otherwise there would be no chance of having the likes of salad leaves through the year. Perhaps I'm wrong, Dutchy might know.

Just wondering if you start off vegetables in pots inside but you go with the phases of the moon theory, does it matter or is it just for planting in soil outside? I've been thinking about this actually and looked at a couple of sites yesterday, and on one it said to start the seeds off in little modules under glass. Well, OK, a heated greenhouse perhaps but the majority of people don't have that. Logic says that "yes" - it does mean inside as well... There is a thread about Gardening by the Phases of the Moon that Dutchy added to each week....suppose it really is one of those things - either you believe in it or not. Some people only go to the dentists when the moon calender says so - what do you do if you get toothache inbetween times...dunno!! http.gardenworld.proboards.com/post/158861/threadRF

theinsidegardener the thread is no longer as Paul who writes the weekly update per mail has stopped but the site still is up to date so if you google planting by the moon or moon planting you will find loads of moon planting/sowing instructions. Just check which is for the area where you live as my moon times differ from those on GMT. I live in a CET area. When you plant out is not too important some say although it helps to stick to the time schedule. It is when you sow that truly matters according to some. Whether that is inside or out does not make any difference as it is to do wit the moon's pull on the earth and that is the same inside as out. Unless you have a gravity avoiding roof on the house Have fun D

No I don't have one of those roofs Dutchy lol, it would be fun though. Must try and give it a bit more thought when I'm sowing etc. - every bit helps!!
