I saw this on the exhibitors list pre going to the Stratford home and garden show and thought Pfffff it will be a load of rubbish...................Well I was wrong and was really well impressed. www.gardenonaroll.co.uk/border-styles/The plants were really good and its so simple with well thought out themes. As for who would use it, well, we aren't all gardeners and it would make a great starting point for a beginner and what a wonderful present it would be if a group of folk clubbed together and bought it for someone.

I like the idea - I think it is very important for kids to start early learning about plants and fruit and veg etc...far too many still think that potatoes come from the supermarket !!

It's a big learning curve for kids to realise that after planting seeds of some veg, it's months before they can eat the produce. Things like peas are easier as they can see them growing and forming but they all do take time to grow. I'd think that on the roll there would be a mix of flowers or veg that would come through quicker than others. They are expensive 'tho are'nt they. As Chuckles says, perhaps if folk joined together for them.

No I haven't tried it LG, just thought it was a great idea as you can soon spend a lot of money at a GC, have no idea what you are doing as a beginner and this would start you off on the right track. The quality and size of the plants were very good and as I said if a group of folk clubbed together it makes a perfect present and start for a garden.
