Hi everyone, I am new here so hopefully someone will be able to help with this, I had a beautiful clematis at my old house, think the clematis was called nobel, well i gathered all the fluffy seed off it last year, and have just found it when unpacking at new house, my question is.... will it grow? and what is the best way to try to get it going? is there any hope of seeing this clematis produce from the seed? thanks Petal

First of all, Clematis hybrids like Nobel will not come true from seed, what you would get could be anything or nothing like the original. Secondly, Clematis seed has a very short life span, so if you have had it for any length of time it would probably not be viable any longer. Still, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Sow the seed about half an inch deep in a pot of decent seed compost and put it somewhere safe in the garden. It does not need heat, just winter cold and rain. If they are going to germinate then it would be next Spring. Best of luck!
