i have built a couple of these now based on the video attached.
Here re are some pictures of the one I made. First I made the frame in my garage. I then put the uprights in and added the soil. Added the soil Acidifier as you can see in one of the pictures. I then added crossbars for the clothes line wire. The top crossbar is for netting to keep the birds and deer away. I did this mid summer and fall I transplanted some plants. You can see they already started growing.
hmmm I guess I can't add images.

Well if ever I need advice on more serious raised beds building including raspberry up holds I now know where to turn. I am by far less controlled. What else did you build? As I think you have been building loads of things. I am going to do a kind of arbour at my allotment but it will not be made for lasting. Having said that if you ever did build one I would like to see the DIY film.
It is nice to see a blokes approach to "allotment" building. And instructive too. There are more "male builders" on this board and I always check what they are doing too. I just build with whatever I find and it will last the season... mostly. Nice to know that there are other options.

I will try to manually add the pictures from my postimage site. Here is the frame I built with 4" x 4" corner posts. That also makes it easy to square up the frame. Bed is in place and uprights built. My first one I built I used steel posts. This one I am using 2 x 4's. I hauled in compost soil that I got from the city. Added soil acidifier Cross over bars for the line hangers. This gives the raspberries something to hang on. The upper most crossover is for a net material to keep the birds and deer away. Here is how I attached the clothes line material for hangers. You can see I added mulch to the top. I set 5 plants in this bed. I did not plant until a month after I added the acidifier.

Looks really good thcri, - I like the idea of the clothes line - they would also be great for tomatoes, infact they could be adapted for most things and not so expensive...

Excellent thcri thanks so much for sharing. Nice to see how you constructed them and that you used good solid thick wood that looks man enough for the job, not like a lot of the bought raised beds which wouldn't last for very long.
