Another good source of decent timber (in the UK) is to use decking boards. I'm just about to make a couple of raised beds in the garden for veg using them.....much cheaper.

jardinier, theinsidegardener, andy, I've used decking boards in the past to andy, they are very good for the job. Mine were amazingly cheap as they were what OH took up on a job
