They really are very pretty Tig,. I only have Mrs J Bradshaw at home. I have another at the allotment which is a pinky coloured one, the name of which escapes me. It was one which Mum gave me and she said it was prone to being a bit of a thug! Will have to post a pic when it flowers to see if anyone can ID it. Looking at yours I think I might be led astray too!!!

Interesting Jasmine, perhaps it's all the rain we have, I know they like plenty of it but mine has been blooming for a few weeks now. All the Geums are smashing, I've never seen one I don't like but they're difficult for me to grow somehow. I've still got J. Bradshaw but have lost Blazing Sunset and Lady Stratheden.

They're difficult for me to grow too Ladygardener, I think it may be that both our gardens are what you might call a little over stuffed . I think they might not like crowds, they do wonderfully for my Mum & she leaves big gaps between her plants. Think I may have hit on a solution though, as Jasmine, sent me a Mrs Bradshaw last year & I'm growing it in a pot & it's looking marvelous. Not quite so marvelous after yesterday's winds though tbh, it was getting a right battering & I had to go out a tie it up quick, so it currently looks trussed up like a chicken, so sorting that out is one of my jobs for today.

It does look good Jilly and I think you're right about overcrowding. Your Mum's Geum are smashing of course. Jenny has a great Geum growing in one of her borders out back not sure which one it is, it's red. I'm sure I've a hundred stakes through the garden, if I did'nt they everything would be in a heap. Where I live is like a wind tunnel so even on a day that there's just a breeze, here it's much more! I will however grow tall wafty flowers because I love them.
