According to my books, cucumbers like high humidity, but Tomatoes do not. Makes life a bit hard in that case.

Does anyone know if tomatoes and cucumbers in the greenhouse like high humidity and maybe being sprayed over. Yep, that's the problem - toms don't like ther leaves being wet - danger of blight etc - Cucs cope well with it and if you get RSM you can spray the Cucs with water/garlic to help get rid of them. Also toms would probably split - they are sensitive to temps and water rations... They always said that you should never have Cucs and toms in the same GH - it is really when they are planting in the ground (you can of course if you give the cucs more water and food) - I have all my GH with tubs and you can regulate well of course... Why do you want to spray andy,??

Sorry i meant spray over the leaves with water....old nursery term Definitely not with the toms andy....I only sprayed once very quickly when I planted against white fly and co... As I said spraying over the leaves with water actually could stop RSM on the Cucs - prevention better than cure etc or even with a garlic mix but I have only ever had that once and caught it very quickly... One thing that does help is taking the leaves off the toms - first up to the first truss, then when the 2nd truss has set well the leaves between the first and second truss etc...only thing to watch is in a glass GH that the toms don't get sunburnt...
