During the recent mini-summer (i.e. last weekend) we visited the local GC and perhaps rashly, given the current change in the weather, bought our usual selection of pre-planted beans, but also a pack of Mangetout Peas, specifically 'Oregon Sugar Pod'.
Now, it is quite some time since I attempted to grow any sort of garden peas and as I recall that didn't work out at all well. So, I really don't know why we came home with Mangetout peas since nobody has the slightest idea what to do with them.
Can they be grown in containers for instance?
So, any help from GWD's pea aficionados would be greatly appreciated.

Grew some on my allotment a few years ago with incredible success. They like fairly rich soil and will need support and plenty of water when dry. The more you pick them, the more they keep on producing so check them every day.....I was having them morning noon and night, luckily, they freeze well.
I'd have no hesitation growing them in tubs to be honest.
Good luck, delicious in stir-fries.

Thanks Andy.
In the end they ended up in the usual default position on the clematis support mesh on the main garden fence. I've dug in plenty of home produced garden compost and am keeping them well watered. They are growing but very slowly at the moment. Not tried these before so will be interesting to see how they go.
