So I'm approaching the big 5-0 and I'm starting to make a horticultural bucket list of places i'd like to visit.
In the UK, i'd love to go to Sissinghurst....it's not a million miles away from me.
Even though I've been to Eden project and Helligan....i'd just like to do them once more
Exbury gardens aren't far...i'd love to go there along with Tresco on the Scilly isles.
Abroad...i'd love to go to Madiera. Keurkenhoff is a must too.
My no 1 foreign destination is Thailand or Japan.
Any suggestions.....I particularly love lots of herbaceous borders.
Oh....i'm off to RHS Wisley on Monday.....if anyone has a similar bucket list and has not been to either Kew or Wisley, do it....soon. You won't regret either

I used to live not far from Kew and the two times I went to visit they were closed due to industrial action!!!!
Your bucket list sounds wonderful andy

Arley Hall has wonderful herbaceous borders. Bodnant Gardens when the Rhododendrons are in full swing. Powys Castle for their borders. Hidcote is good too, especially the hot border.

I'm lucky to be within an hour and a half drive from Kew, Wisley, Sheffield Park, Wakehurst Place, Borde Hill, Nymans, Parham, West Dean, Great Dixter and Prarie gardens.
I'm also looting at Tatton Park flower show next near having done Hampton court and gardeners world live this year.
