Here you are - the recipe for Chestnut Lasagne.
Ingredients - serves 4.
Olive oil chopped onion crushed garlic (if liked) 4 oz chopped mushrooms 1/2 green pepper (chopped) 1/2 red pepper (chopped) pack or tin chestnuts (it says 175 g on the pack) Mash these. 2 tbl tom puree 2 tspns oregano or marjoram (I used dried) Vegetable stock (small amount) 6 - 8 sheets lasagne (spinach or ordinary) cheese sauce (ready made or make it yourself)
Preheat oven to gas 5 (190 degrees)
Fry onion 2 minutes, add garlic and sauté. Add peppers and mushrooms, sauté 3-4 minutes. Add chestnuts and herbs, mix in and moisten with vegetable stock. Stir in tom. puree.
Layer all with cheese sauce, ending with sauce.
Bake 40 - 45 minutes.
Serve with green salad if you like.

I will have a go at this Geranium. Does the cheese sauce get poured over each layer or just over the top when it is in the dish?

I made this tonight, it was very filling although we did eat half each, not sure it would have stretched to 4 portions though
