Was looking at getting some seaweed plant food (tonic) for my citrus and daturas. Went on ebay to look for maxicrop and found i might need to take out a second mortgage.
We always used maxicrop in the nursery but there must be alternatives that are good out there? Anyone use something different?

I'm not sure about the legalities but if I'm right you live by the coast and maybe you could ask permission from a harbour-master/ council if you could take a few bags and make your own ? Not an instant fix after reading up about it but maybe a longer term solution ?
You've certainly got me thinking after reading about the benefits of seaweed

I picked a good piece of seaweed up on Sunday, ive put it in a bucket of water to use as plant food, now i have a chocolate cosmos i planed a few weeks ago and the bottom leaves are goung yellow! Do think watering with seaweed would pep it up or might it kill it .
