A man and a woman were talking when an elderly woman wandered past. She was quite unsteady and very obiously under the influence.
"She looks like she's had a few," the woman said to her companion. "I wonder why she has got herself like that."
"Well," the man replied sadly. "Her husband left her many years ago and since then I've often seen her like this."
With a knowing look the woman nodded before speaking again.
"It's amazing, isn't it, how long some people can celebrate!"
