Pretty sure this subject has come up before but I have come across something interesting. I know that some gardeners find that bulbs they have bought do not come up in the 2nd or later years. If you get foliage but no flowers, you may find that the bulb has a number of daughter bulbs attached to it. Separate the bulbs and replant and you should get flowers, at least from the parent. Apologies if this is already common knowledge!
