I thought I'd start a thread for us to post all our pics of our bulbs in flower and any other little late winter and spring flowers we have in bloom in the garden. This little Iris Reticulata "Pauline" is one of my favourties. These little native Primrose have been in bloom for a while now. I've a couple of these Cerinthe Major Purpurascens sown from seed last year and they've just grown all winter. Sarcocca smells absolutely wonderful if the temp goes about 5c. I have it in the bed nearest the door to make the most of it.

Is'nt it lovely to see a bit of colour in the garden Barbara. Lovely little primroses. My Hellibore in the bottom border is just starting to show buds. The water in the bottom of my garden takes forever to drain away when we've had heavy rain but the beds at least are quite raised now. Everywhere is dripping wet here as well and there is plenty to do in the borders but not just yet.

Ooh they're delights indeed Tig. I'm sure SN is well pleased with her Amaryllis but my favourite is that 1st Hellebore, it's a real beauty. I'm hoping I might see a flower this year on the seedlings you gave me a few years ago. Would it normally take 3 or 4 years to flower from seed?

Most of those I grow from seed are flowering in 3 years, if they are happy with their location, I have a couple that have their first flowers this year including that first one you like. Yours should be similar to that one I think. I love your Grumpy Jasmine, shame I can't see his face as he's sulking!

Oh lots of little Grumpies they're fab Jasmine as are those Crocus. I love my Grumpies Ladygardener! One snowdrop on my wish list - Flocon de Neige - but I am going to wait until it is much more reasonable. It used to sell for double what it sells for now - so patience, patience!

This should be ok to use for Avatar Jasmine but it might still be a tad too light and as there is more than one in the frame as open as can be they kind of do not look half as grumpy. Cheers

Hm looking at it I would stick to the one you use now Jasmine. It simply is not good enough, not sharp due to too little pixels and too light. I don't think it works. Ah well never tried etc etc

Grumpy? Grumpy, 'what's all this grumpy' I said to myself. I just couldn't see it and eventually, giving up somewhat grumpily, I was confronted by the disparaging view from your avatar. So there you see it, and I did, as you do, ha ha ...

It's great to see how winter is moving on and spring is appearing. In the garden this week. Little Jetfire in the bottom corner. Hellibore is much later to flower this year. Some of the later Crocus in the bottom border. Prunis Incisa Paean in the middle bed.
