Just wondering about all the different greenhouses members have and if you were to buy again what would you choose differently or f you have seen any at the shows I would appreciate your opinion . I am buying a new one and collecting all the info I can before I make a choice as I can`t actually see them being over here in N.I. I have a large polycarb one at the minute and it has served me well for 10 years and I`m now going glass "Greenhouse bonanza" used to do good quality greenhouses as My brother bought one a few years ago but they don have a website now. The rhino classic has a great price tag the biggest being an 8X12 but I could get an even bigger Elite one for a little more but I don`t know the quality. Any ideas, tips, web addresses, pictures especially would be welcome .

I have had both - glass and polycarb and if I had to choose...mmmh - good question as there are good and bad for both. I think that I would go for a polycarb again although you need to be careful with the choice as they are notoriously light and love to fly in high winds. There are things that you can do to stop that though. Glass - well, the worst problem is the sun I think - you need to protect the plants with shading of some description. Windows on both can be a problem - if they open automatically on a polycarb it can make the "flying" option a lot worse and I made sure that I got one with a manual window. My greenhouses are only small due to having a small garden but I wouldn't want to be without them... Perhaps andy or isabella and owdboggy can help more...

We have one of each pothead, and as Rosefriend, says the poly one is prone to windows being blown out, the glass one is the biggest but scares me to death as I cut myself quite badly when we were putting the windows in, I don't prefer one over the other really, I shade them both with netting if it gets too hot.

Glass every time for me. If you think that an 8 x 6 is going to be ok.....think again and go for a 10 x 8.

I have a 10x8 glass and wood greenhouse and an 8x6 glass and wood alpine house. I'd always have glass, and as big as you can afford

I have a 6 x 8 aluminium glass greenhouse. It belonged to my FiL and he gave it to us in 1988. Jeff's replaced some of the glass over the years. For quite a long time it was used for storage...until I got into growing stuff in there 🌺🐝🌻
