Absolutely - time flies Rosefriend. I remember the kitchen being full of roses! One thing I could do is to ask Olaf when I could get a bare rooted AF and send it to you - you could keep it in a pot. I am in the UK in November - I can take it with me and post it there, it would stop it being bashed around so much...should he have them at that time, and if I can get someone to take me there... If he says that he intends to keep selling it for the next few years then there is no problem at all...

Yes I know what you mean Jasmine. I'd say it would'nt survive being dug up. Years ago Tig sent me the seeds for this white Geranium, I would'nt be without it and this is one of the offspring from the original plant grown from seeds along with Candelabra Primula in the perennial flower bed at the plot yesterday.

Don't go to any trouble Rosefriend , but it would be good to know if he has plans to keep selling it. It would be very tricky to get one out of the US and quite difficult to deal with Germany unless it is through your German!!! What a pretty combination of colours Ladygardener !

Thanks Jasmine, at the plot it's a bed full of mostly perennials with a few bi annuals thrown in. I have other areas where I can grow annual flowers but this one I love for it's diversity and am trying to have something for the insects and pollinators for most of the year. A couple of the Digitalis, they're both massive and will have loads of blooms on them.

That's a lovely Clematis Barbara. Do you know which one it is? There should be plenty of berries on the Pyracantha this year.

Great pics Barbara, Jasmine,. I do think sometimes that we molly cuddle our plants a bit, that white foxglove is outstanding. I'm delighted to finally have one coming into bloom at the plot as well. Love the colour of those Lupin Jasmine, and Barbara, those Nigella are great. Centranthus coccineus in bloom. I'm hoping it will self seed at the plot.

Lupins change colour almost before your eyes, yesterday these had a touch of golden yellow/orange, today it has become a wine colour with the red.

I can't remember who I bought them from Barbara! I bought so many this year - a random few are white/cream. Makes me smile - why do we bother with colour schemes

I did have a laugh when I saw your "white" foxgloves Jasmine, those Iris are smashing. Someone at the plot has them on his plot and they really stand out. As to flowers changing colour, I read that often flowers emerge as a simple white/green and only change colour when they know they're going to survive and only then do they spend the energy to put in their colour. Something like that anyhow. My blue and white Lupin started off creamy green and developed their colour over a few days.

I planted the irises for cutting Ladygardener, but I haven't been brave enough, they look grand where they are!

I know just what you mean Jasmine, that was why I was growing so many narcissus at the plot..... did'nt quite work out like that but I have taken home a few. The thing is, they last so much longer in the ground.

I like the idea of a cutting garden Ladygardener, but I just end up enjoying things where they are! Foxgloves that were meant to be purple!

Thanks ladies, I was so excited to see the bud open. 2 years ago it had a bud that just died without opening, it had nothing last year and this year it has the flower and one more bud to come. It's a fickle thing! Lovely lily Ladygardener, but not good if you were expecting something else. I contacted VM by FB yesterday, they are so slow at answering emails. The foxgloves I ordered should have been dispatched 8 days ago, now they are saying a few more weeks. Half thinking of cancelling my order as they will come so close to our holiday in that case.

Lupins aren't very happy in my garden Barbara, unless I grow them in a raised bed - they take me back to being a little girl!
