2 1/2 ounces of butter.
1 0z self raising flour.
1 oz caster sugar.
1 1/2 tsp baking powder.
2 1/2 oz of sultanas.
5 fluid ozs of milk 2 large eggs beaten.
preheat oven to 220. gas mark 7.
rub in the butter to the flour and baking powder, stir in the sugar and sultanas, pour 3 ozs of milk and most of the egg mix together with a knife to a soft but not too sticky dough, add more milk now if needed, turn the dough out and gently roll to about 3/4 of an inch cut with your cutter makes about 8/10, brush the tops with the saved egg then bake for 10 minutes or until risen and golden.
